Together | apart Diptychs relief print on Hosho paper
Considering a limited number of relief plates as the genetic material or DNA of my work, prints are constructed by iterative layering, a making and unmaking. Imagery is derived from bodily marks of fingerprints and skin, continuously changes as the plates are subjected to variables of the printing process. The book’s unbound pages form a mutable narrative of my own lived experience growing up as an identical twin, a life together and apart. The turning of the pages allows themes of closeness and distance, similarity and difference to unfold.
