Together | apart Diptychs relief print on Hosho paper
I consider the relief plates the genetic material or DNA of my work: the prints are constructed by iterative layering, a making and unmaking. Imagery is derived from bodily marks of fingerprints and skin, and continuously changes as the plates are subjected to variables of an open-ended printing process. The book’s unbound pages form a mutable narrative of my experience growing up as an identical twin, a life together and apart. The turning of the pages allows themes of closeness and distance, similarity and difference to unfold. |
